This is a great looking antique nearly 200 year-old oil on canvas portrait, painting of a distinguished looking lady from the early 1800s. Overall, in very good condition with vivid coloring and a fairly nice attention to detail. Light crazing throughout the painting with a slight halo effect around the sitter. How’d in what is possibly the original antique plaster decorated wooden frame with losses to the old gold painted finish. The painting itself does not look to have been fully restored and appears to be in very good condition. Fresh from a Maryland estate and ready for display. Overall size 18 1/4 inches across by 20 inches tall.

What stands out about the medium size is how it draws the eye without shouting.
