William Guy Wall was known for his Hudson River Portfolio (New York, 1821-1825), from which Mary E. Riley has expertly rendered “A View Near Jessup’s Landing”. The image is 16 ¾” x 22 ¼”, on ivory wove paper (18 ¾” x 24 ½”), pencil signed on verso “E. Hill Mary E. Riley,” and inscribed under the image “A View Near the Landing at [?].
