Original fashion illustration painting of a young woman.Painting depicts a young woman in a blue skirt and blue heels with a white jacket leaning against the rail of a ship on blue sea. This painting is composed of pencil, ink or black watercolor and blue watercolor.It is done on fairly thick (perhaps 1/16") Letramax Esselte illustration board measuring 20" by 15".Signed on the upper right border line: GUSTAFSON '89.Condition is good but not perfect. Just a bit of light wear and some white marks to the right of her skirt and knees.I am unable to say this is by Mats Gustafson. It is plainly unlike his super simple, subtle contemporary works but this work is dramatically staged fashion illustration which would relate to his education as a graduate of University College of Film, Radio, Television, and Theater in Stockholm, Sweden. Check out the other 2 pieces by this artist I have up on ebay currently.No provenance as I bought this along with others at a thrift shop in the Portland, Oregon area about 20 years ago.
