Listed English Artist Eugene James Tily (1870-1937) Pencil Signed, on lower right, this Magical Family Homestead Landscape. It is and Original Hand colored engraving, Dated, 1938 and published by Frost and Reed, Ltd. of Bristol, England. A gentleman farmer stands by Dutch doors, admiring his doting family right outside. A young girl stands beside her mother, nursing an infant. Their dog stands guard by their feet. Another woman stands by a pony. It is reminiscent of 'Shire-like Hobbit village'. Warm and striking color palette used. The image is mostly in very good condition but there are stains around the border (mostly the bottom). Authentic publishers stamp on lower left (see image).1" Wide, Gold, Rounded Reverse moulding w/ Art Nouveau style chiseling/carving at the corners, a Tan French mat (inking border lines using a ruling pen and filling the space between two of the lines with a watercolor wash or gold leaf) and glass is included complementary in this listing.Image opening measures 15 X 20 1/2 and is in Good Antique condition.Outside measure of the frame is 24 X 29 and is in Good condition w/ a few minor nicks (retouched).
