1929 Bergen Beach, Brooklyn autumn landscape by George A. Renouard 1885-1954, listed New York graphic artist, painter, and art educator, oil on artist board, 8" by 10", dated and initialed verso with notations, vintage molded gilded frame with newer linen covered liner, 11 3/4" by 13 3/4". Artist was born in Rochester, New York, lived most of his life in the New York City area, taught at Art Students League of New York, exhibited at the National Academy of Design, Art Institute of Chicago, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and had a 1940 solo at 15 Gallery, New York City. Notations on back not completely legible to me, "Oct. 28, 1929, Afternoon, Warm, Pleasant, ........., Bergen Beach, GR." Condition of painting and frame excellent for age with no notable damage.
