Mid 20th C. artist Marion Montoya?? Signed, on lower right, this Joyous and Bright, 18th C. French Figures in Landscape. It is an Original Oil on Canvas. A gentleman of the country spreads his arms in welcome as another gentleman approaches with 2 lovely ladies with him. Their path is lined with various flowers and vegetation. The color palette is quite bold and still fresh. The signature is difficult to read but we believe the artist was European as we see the style of stretcher and the size of the canvas is written on the stretcher in centimeters. 2 3/4" Wide, 1 7/8" Deep Gold embossed scoop moulding is included complementary in this auction. Canvas measures 7 1/2 X 9 1/2 (19 X 24 cm.) and is in Good to Very Good condition.Outside measure of the frame is 12 1/2 X 14 1/2 and is in Good condition w/ a few minor blemishes.Please carefully examine all images for condition.
