For sale is one of two original miniature English watercolor paintings that we are selling here in our eBay Store. This sale is for the miniature portrait of the Lady of society. Please see our eBay Store for the gentleman portrait. This painting is signed lower right and is attributed to Lorenzo Theweneti (Italian, circa 1797-1878). Painted in the U.K. Although the signature appears to not read Lorenzo Theweneti we are unsure if the signature is instead the name of the lady sitter or if it's another British miniature watercolorist. The date appears to read 1818.(see pic) Please see our close up detailed pictures for the signature in question. The portrait of the Gentleman that we are selling in our eBay store as well is clearly signed by Lorenzo Theweneti. This painting features a seated lady in a flowing white English lace dress and perhaps a red satin long shawl. She sits on a chair with her right arm raised and a wonderful detailed brooch at the center of her chest. She looks directly back at the viewer with a subtle smile and pink rosey cheeks as she sits in pose for her portrait. Framed in a wonderful English Walnut or oak picture frame with gold liner. Condition. Not examined out of frame. One can see vertical thin vertical splits in the watercolor surface support material. Restoration work would set the painting once again. Please see all pictures for detail and ask us any questions regarding this painting should you have any. Measurements Frame - 10" x 9" Sight - 4 3/8" x 3 1/2" ***NOTE: THIS SALE IS ONLY FOR THE PORTRAIT OF THE LADY********
