Original botanical art very detailed painting South African succulent plant 1986

NOT A PRINT: This is a highly realistic, original watercolor painting of the species Rabiea Albinota, native to arid parts of South Africa, and more commonly known as S'Keng-Keng. Considered a dwarf succulent, it is said (though this has not been scientifically established) to have hallucinogenic properties when dried and smoked. The piece measures 9" by 9" in its magenta-colored metal frame evidently selected so as to complement some of the purplish colors in the plant. The species, which somewhat resembles California's ice plant, is popular among horticulturists and gardeners for its easy maintenance in pots. The painting is signed "R. Kohn '86" at right center, and the botanical name appears at left. Allow for reflections.
