Oil on board. Signed Fr. Frandsen to the lower right. The oil dates back to the early 20th century ( 1930-1940s). Fine cityscape with the iconic half-timbered Renaissance-style building located on Brodregade in Randers, Denmark. It dates from the late 1600s and is richly decorated, originating from the city’s flourishing trade period. The building is adorned with half-rosettes and angel heads facing the street, and it is considered one of the finest examples of Renaissance half-timbered architecture in Denmark. Because of these angelic decorations, it is also known as The Angel House. The oil is framed in its authentic golden salon frame. A fine oil by Danish painter, Frands Frandsen (1885-1979). A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work.
