He established a fine art gallery in Aleppo in 1990, called Khanji Art Gallery, where he held many solo and group exhibitions for him and many Syrian and Arab artists. ​ Khanji held exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada, Spain and the Emirates in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al-Ain mainly. He participated in more than 30 solo exhibitions and 60 joint exhibitions ​ Khanji never stopped seeking the renewal and development of art in Aleppo. He won artistic freedom for himself by adopting and creating ideas woven in different visual art forms, using a wide range of tools and techniques to realize personal ambitions and for appealing to all artistic tastes. ​ He is among the greatest Aleppine artists who took keen interest in embodying ‘Mawlawi’ rituals, decorative scenery, and letters from the Arabic language. He experimented vastly with metal engraving - which allowed him to demonstrate incredible skills in making three-dimensional visual artworks.
