Artist Statement

In Diego Díaz's plastic art, time fades into raw paper, canvas, boards and drawings are organic scars before the journey. In each piece, the light portion the shadow. The viewer sees the mist in that goes through canvas understand that of the future. The past, on the other hand, is reflected the spectator's face, a phantom of a portrait in graphite that remains in the memory. Diego Díaz refuse time; his technique considers drawing, painting, and sculpture in a direct and authentic way, as well as installation and ready-made. He is a contemporary artist born in this hard age of the world. His work is organic, surface into support, surrendered to light, and explores the infinite possibilities of space. For more than a decade, Diego Díaz's creative proposal has kept the trace and that has beyond pace of the rational or safe.
